Sometimes the internet makes me feel like everything to think has been thunk, and it’s out there floating around on the internet. That’s why I’ve avoided making a blog; what if everything I think is unoriginal? There are people, though, that surprise me every day with something new and different in their online writing. I’m up for the challenge to join them.
I want this to be a collection of ideas, projects, experiments, and thoughts. To start, I’m going to have a “Creative Project of the Day.” That means updated daily content of some sort! I just want to get my creative juices flowing and see what happens in this sort of collaborative environment. Leave tons of comments and we’re all off on a web 2.0 adventure!
Creative Project of the Day: Day 1
I designed this program (and my friend coded it) for making collaborative stories, sentence by sentence. It’s part of my “Bored at Work Games” project.
Based on this little Wikipedia entry:
Wikipedia: Exquisite Corpse
There is a Facebook App like it, but good luck figuring it out through the poor design:
Story Central Facebook App
Feel free to write a story with it and send it to me. Maybe I’ll throw up some good ones in the next couple of days.
Now I think it’s only right to end my first post with blogs that have inspired me:

Mare has a blooooog! Congrats on joining the rest of the universe
I can’t wait to read more!
I just wanted to nitpick a couple typos in your entry..
1) “friends” needs to be replaced with “friend” or “hot, available friend” or “Danny”…
2) “Marian Bantjes, Artist — The Cool Hunter — Geekologie” didn’t show up on separate lines for me, so I got confuzled.
3) (Not a typo.. but something I wanted to point out) – I enjoy some of the Softer Worlds, but for the most part, they are over my head (I think it may be too artsy for me…)
4) (also not a typo – just a pet peeve) – I’d really appreciate it if you could somehow turn off the “WordPress SnapShots” thing that comes up when I mouseover a link – that is a major pet peeve of mine…
5) The font in this comment box is too pretty, so I sometimes lose track of whether or not I hit the spacebar :-\ (for instance, the word sometimes looks like it has a space between the m’s and the e’s..I think it might just be the way the m’s are…)
6) (again.. not a typo…) – I can’t wait to read more of your blogging!! I hope your summer is continuing to go well, and I’m sure I’ll be talking to ya soon!

PS – remind me not to do emoticons in my comments.. I didn’t realize how frequently I use them until they all just showed up all yellow and whatnot…
