Dr. Emmett Brown
Human Resources Manager
Flux Deluxe Industries
115 Twin Pines Mall Blvd.
Hill Valley, California
Dear Dr. Brown:
I am writing to apply for the Electrical Engineering Co-op Position for Flux Deluxe Industries that was posted by the Engineering Co-op and Internship Office at Penn State this week. The position requirements mesh well with my abilities and interests in innovative traveling. I have enclosed a resume for your review.
The job posting indicates a need for candidates with knowledge of programming to develop unique power generation systems. The electrical engineering curriculum at Penn State includes extensive coursework in power and control systems, and I am acquainted with various types of electric machinery and drives. I am proficient with PSPICE and the MATLAB graphical environment, and I also have a uniquely extensive knowledge of physics, as I have pursued a physics minor. My experience as a technician for Delorean Labs last summer also gave me an opportunity to use my knowledge and skills in a professional, high-paced atmosphere where I worked within a team environment.
Please feel free to contact me at (814)115-2015 or mbm@psu.edu to discuss my qualifications. I am very excited to have the opportunity to speak with you about the co-op position with the possibility of working at Flux Deluxe Industries. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Marty B. McFly

Sometimes the internet makes me feel like everything to think has been thunk, and it’s out there floating around on the internet. That’s why I’ve avoided making a blog; what if everything I think is unoriginal? There are people, though, that surprise me every day with something new and different in their online writing. I’m up for the challenge to join them.
I want this to be a collection of ideas, projects, experiments, and thoughts. To start, I’m going to have a “Creative Project of the Day.” That means updated daily content of some sort! I just want to get my creative juices flowing and see what happens in this sort of collaborative environment. Leave tons of comments and we’re all off on a web 2.0 adventure!
Creative Project of the Day: Day 1
Storyteller
I designed this program (and my friend coded it) for making collaborative stories, sentence by sentence. It’s part of my “Bored at Work Games” project.
Based on this little Wikipedia entry:
Wikipedia: Exquisite Corpse
There is a Facebook App like it, but good luck figuring it out through the poor design:
Story Central Facebook App
Feel free to write a story with it and send it to me. Maybe I’ll throw up some good ones in the next couple of days.
Now I think it’s only right to end my first post with blogs that have inspired me:

Marian Bantjes, Artist
The Cool Hunter
Geekologie
A Softer World
Seth Godin
